COVID-19 Policies

Face Coverings & Physical Distancing:

Connect team members will continue to wear medical grade surgical masks at all times and in all areas of the workplace if they are either providing direct client support or cannot maintain two-meter distance from clients and co-workers (as per Alberta Public Health Disease Management Guidelines: Coronavirus – COVID-19). As per the City of Edmonton Temporary Mandatory Face Coverings Bylaw, effective September 3, 2021, clients are required to wear masks for in-person treatment. Masks are not required while exercising or training. As recommended by Physiotherapy Alberta, we will continue with additional measures including maintaining physical distance in waiting areas and in treatment and training spaces and use of a physical barrier between patients and reception staff.

Staff & Client Screening:

At this time, we will continue to engage in active screening of both clients and staff prior to attending and upon arrival at our clinic.

Hand Hygiene & Enhanced Cleaning Protocols:

Connect team members follow best practices for hand hygiene to prevent the spread of infection through hand washing or hand sanitizing: before and after touching a client, before clean/aseptic procedures, after body fluid exposure or risk and after touching client surroundings. We encourage clients to use hand washing or sanitizing practices: upon arrival at Connect, before and after use of weights, exercise equipment or similar shared equipment, prior to processing payment and prior to departure from the clinic.

We follow stringent cleaning protocols for proper disinfection and cleanliness of all spaces, equipment, and devices. This includes frequent cleaning and disinfecting of contact items between each client/use and high touch surfaces.
