  • Feeling more emotional
  • Memory problems or feeling like “in a fog”

How do we manage concussion?

General recommendations for concussion recovery include a short period of rest, followed by a gradual return to activity under supervision.

Our concussion treatments start with a thorough assessment where we use both subjective and objective tools to evaluate what gives you symptoms.

Concussion care can involve a variety of treatments to manage symptoms. With your baseline established, you will be provided with specific education regarding concussion management, advice on return to work, school or sport, and a home exercise plan if indicated.

Concussion treatment sessions can include:

  • Hands-on manual therapy
  • Visual, balance and proprioception exercises
  • In-clinic active rehabilitation with symptom monitoring
